I am an artist living in Granville Ferry, Nova Scotia. I have exhibited in Nova Scotia, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Prince Edward Island, and Ohio, and my paintings are held in public and private collections throughout the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
My work is continually evolving, but its constant is colour. Over the years, I have produced both figurative and abstract paintings. My most recent abstract works evoke the organic forms of nature while simultaneously suggesting an imagined world of indiscernible complexity. My figurative work features imagined characters, some with suggestions of a narrative. All of my work is influenced by a 35-year career as an art museum curator where I was exposed to a wide and diverse range of art from around the world.
